Understanding who can do what in ShikshaOS

Role Overview

Role	Login method	What they can do
Admin	Email + password	Full access to all institute features
Staff	Email + password	Custom permissions set by admin
Teacher	Phone number	Attendance, marks, own schedule
Student	Phone number	View own attendance, fees, marks
Parent	Phone number	View child’s attendance, fees, marks
Org Admin	Email + password	Manage multiple branches

Organisation Code

If your institute has enabled an Organisation Code, every login (admin, staff, teacher, parent, student) must enter this 6-character code. It prevents unauthorised access even if someone has a valid password.

Set it under Settings → Organisation Code.

Staff Permissions

Admins can grant staff access to specific modules only:

• Fees — collect and view payments
• Attendance — mark and view records
• Students — add and edit student profiles
• Reports — export data
• Timetable — view and manage schedule

Staff cannot access modules they haven’t been granted.
